Newsletter August 2021 - New BIM Package SOFiSTiK Reinforcement

Well equipped for the reinforcement planning of tomorrow


Dear SOFiSTiK users, dear interested parties,

We would like to inform you about the following changes to the licensing of our BIM apps Reinforcement Detailing (RCD) and Reinforcement Generation (RCG).

As of August 1, 2021, we have united the reinforcement products SOFiSTiK RCD and SOFiSTiK RCG in the powerful new BIM package "SOFiSTiK Reinforcement" (RC). The package specifically includes the products RCD & RCG (RC = RCD + RCG) and offers improved functionality and performance for holistic and BIM-ready reinforcement planning.

Not only does SOFiSTiK Reinforcement combine the existing features of RCD and RCG into one product to serve all your reinforcement needs, but users also benefit from an entirely new BIM workflow for wall reinforcement. The new workflow allows for an easy and intuitive planning process - from generating the required wall reinforcement and deriving detailed reinforcement plans to checking and adjusting the required reinforcement for individual walls. As a special highlight, you can start modelling reinforcement even if calculation results aren’t available yet. 

With the transition to SOFiSTiK Reinforcement, the products RCD and RCG are no longer obtainable individually. Instead, the following licensing options are available for SOFiSTiK Reinforcement:

  • RC-SU (single user)
  • RC-MU (multi user) 
  • RC-R-SU (renewal single user) 
  • RC-R-MU (renewal multi user)

Existing RCD & RCG customers may renew their licenses 1:1 for a RC-R-SU or RC-R-MU license and will in this case transition to the BIM package SOFiSTiK Reinforcement.
