The Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement in Los Angeles is a semi-integral concrete bridge with a joint-less deck approximately 2867ft long. The structure is slightly curved  in plan view and consists of 10 consecutive arch spans of similar length. To achieve seismic resilience the structure was designed with triple-friction pendulum bearings which isolate the entire superstructure from the seismic ground motions. The continuity of the structure leads to complex structural behavior throughout erection that is influenced by the erection sequence, nonlinear behavior of bearings, and creep and shrinkage of concrete.
