Dear SOFiSTiK users, dear interested parties,
For internationally operating contractors like PORR AG, state-of-the-art BIM workflows for planning and constructing are essential. The PORR group’s subsidiary pde Integrale Planung GmbH ensures smooth internal processing of such BIM workflows. This includes the mapping of reality with the help of a digital twin. The 3D model is not only used for internal communication but also for swift, reliable and transparent communication with clients, owners and public authorities.
In our upcoming webinar BIM in tunneling - Realisation and solutions of pde Integrale Planung GmbH, we talk to Lisa Wronski and Sezen Acar-Tschunko of pde Integrale Planung GmbH about one of their major recent projects - the Koralm Tunnel in Austria. At a total length of about 33 km, the Koralm Tunnel is one of the longest railroad tunnels in the world, which poses special challenges with regard to axis-based parametric 3D modeling of the tunnel lining, cross and connecting tunnels, widenings etc. Lisa Wronski and Sezen Acar-Tschunko give us insight into the challenges, problems and solutions, the modeling process as well as various technical details of this monumental construction project.
We're looking forward to seeing you at the webinar.
Your SOFiSTiK Team

Online Training: Parametric Bridge Modelling with
Grasshopper and SOFiSTiK
Parametric tools such as Grasshopper and the scripting capabilities of FEA software packages such as SOFiSTiK FEA allow engineers to automate functionalities to work faster and more creatively. Besides, it comes with massive potential to parametrise and optimise structures of any type.
Our 4-day basic online training course for bridge design teaches you the parametric modelling process with Grasshopper and SOFiSTiK FEA of a Post-Tensioned Concrete Bridge. You will learn the fundamentals of Grasshopper to create effective and maintainable visual scripts. And how to use the SOFiSTiK Grasshopper components to build the axis-based bridge structure.
