Newsletter April 2023 - SOFiSTiK BIM Workflow for Buildings

Dear SOFiSTiK users, dear interested parties,

Within its recent version 2023, the analytical modeling concept in Autodesk® Revit® has been changed entirely. Analytical elements can now be modeled with total flexibility, yet they are still integral part of the BIM model in Revit, with all the features for parametrization, drawing production and coordina-tion.

In our upcoming webinar SOFiSTiK BIM Worfklow for Buildings, our experts will introduce the new concept and will demonstrate how SOFiSTiK solutions build upon and enhance that concept to allow for a fully connected and automated workflow from the 3D BIM model to analysis.

Date: Thursday, 27 April 2023

Time: 10:00 am - 11:00 am (CEST)

We're looking forward to seeing you at the webinar.

‌New User Report with Basler & Hofmann

The engineering, consulting and planning company Basler & Hofmann from Zurich, in collaboration with landscape architects DGJ Landscapes and Nau2 Architekten, won the project competition for the pedestrian link from St. Gallen's old town to the university district.

The required BIM model was developed using Autodesk® Revit®. The SOFiSTiK Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler (SBIM) and Dynamo®, a visual programming tool, were used for modelling the footbridge. This set of programs allowed them to quickly create a multitude of variants. The model now provides the basis for project planning, including cost estimation, tender documentation and time scheduling.
