With a total length of 1150 m the Combined Bridge over the Daugava River near to the city of Riga, Latvia, will be one of the key components of the European Rail Baltica project. Within the project, BIM based planning was requested during all design stages. Thanks to the SOFiSTiK Bridge + Infrastructure Modeler, this could be fulfilled following a parametric approach in safe, fast and traceable way.
The use of variables for dimensional and non-dimensional purposes, the use of cross member tool briefly speaking about local station configuration, and data workflows between SBIM and Excel using Dynamo will be the main topics in this presentation.
