The International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) is delighted to be invited to Ghent, for the IABSE Congress co-organized by the Dutch and Belgian groups of IABSE in co-operation with Ghent University. The theme of the Congress is “The Essence of Structural Engineering for Society”, and asks the question: What is the essence of structural engineering?
IABSE is the major international body representing the worldwide design and construction community, covering all kinds of buildings, bridges and structures, and all construction materials and processes.

SOFiSTiK at the New York City Bridge Conference
The 12th New York City Bridge Conference will take place on 25 and 26 August 2025 in New York City, and SOFiSTiK will be there!
The event will be held at the New York Hilton Midtown and is organized by the Bridge Engineering Association. It continues the tradition of bringing together bridge engineers, operators, designers, researchers, and contractors from around the world to share knowledge, explore innovations, and engage in meaningful discussions about the future of bridge engineering.
The mission of the Bridge Engineering Association is to promote the state-of-the-art in bridge engineering technology through the publications of the latest in bridge engineering technology and the organization of conferences, seminars and forums on various themes of interest to the bridge engineering community.
