Digital Design Specialist (m/f/d)

SOFiSTiK is Europe’s leading manufacturer of construction software for analysis, design, and detailing in structural engineering. SOFiSTiK is used in a large variety of civil engineering projects from bridges through buildings to geotechnical infrastructures. A main driver of SOFiSTiK’s development are topics like parametrization, sustainability and building information modeling. To further strengthen our lead in those fields, we are looking for a Digital Design Specialist (m/f/d).

We are looking for a structural engineer or computer scientist with a strong interest in programming and digital design workflows. Ideally with professional experience in a structural engineering consultancy, who is able to transfer that knowledge to the development of software.

You will be part of a development team consisting of product managers, application engineers and software developers, focusing to extend the feature-set for a specific workflow. Your initial assignment will be as part of the team extending and improving the analysis interfaces, specifically for the McNeel Rhinoceros/Grasshopper platform.

What we expect from you:

  • Degree in structural engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in a structural engineering consultancy
  • Knowledge of BIM and parametric workflows (Rhino/Grasshopper and/or Autodesk Revit)
  • Experience in a modern programming language such as C#
  • Willingness and ability to extend skill set towards professional software development
