Important information from Autodesk

Dear SOFiSTiK User,
We would like to inform you that Autodesk will be making some major changes in the coming months.

Please note: Due to the current Corona (COVID-19) situation, Autodesk has postponed some dates. 

  

First things first:

From May 7, 2020 there will be new contracts based on named users, and Autodesk will begin retiring contracts based on serial numbers, providing you with significant benefits: 

  • •    Visibility into your usage data
  • •    No need to manage your own license servers  
  • •    Dedicated access for all employees who need it
  • •    Individual support and learning content

 

The changes in the time schedule:

Since February 29, 2020
Autodesk no longer offers new multi-year multi-user subscriptions. 
If you have a multi-user subscription which is due for renewal on or after February 29, 2020, you can only renew it for another year.

March 25, 2020  
Price increase for new Autodesk single-user subscriptions by approx. 5%.

April 16, 2020
No further versions or updates for Design & Creation Suites will be published. 
Design & Creation Suites can only be renewed until April 16, 2020.

May 07, 2020
The price for renewing maintenance contracts increases by 20%. 
Maintenance contracts can be switched to subscriptions with a new trade-in offer.

August 07, 2020
Autodesk no longer offers new annual multi-user subscriptions. 

May 07, 2021
Maintenance contracts and multi-user subscriptions can no longer be extended.

 

Our recommodation for you:

If you still have a single-user maintenance contract due for renewal, we would recommend to switch to a subscription at a reduced price until May 7, 2020. 


If you still have a serial number without an active maintenance contract, you can switch to a single-user subscription for a reduced price until April 24, 2020.
