BE37: Beam Calculation of Varying Cross-Section according to Second Order Theory

The problem consists of a column of continuously varying cross-section, subjected to a large compressive force in combination with imperfections as well as horizontal and temperature loads, as shown in the figure. The forces and deflections of the structure, calculated according to second order theory, are determined.This is one example of our Verification Manual.
