Parametric tools such as Grasshopper and scripting of FE analysis packages have given engineers the opportunity to “look under the hood” of software to automate its functionality and send data between different packages. This is enabling engineers to work faster and more creatively.

Agenda Day Two:

  • CADiNP – A brief refresher.
    • Basics
    • Module structure
    • The minimum requirement to run a text-file successfully.
    • #include, +apply

  • SOFiSTiK Nodes in Grasshopper
    • Introduction SOFiSTiK Grasshopper Nodes
    • How to feed Nodes

  • Explanation of the generated dat-file.
    • Step by step explanation of the generated data.

  • Ways to proceed with the generated dat-file.
    • Entire dat-file generated within Grasshopper.
    • SOFiMESH-C module generated only and referred to master dat-file.
    • Bake model and proceed in Rhino using the SOFiSTiK Rhino Interface.

  • How to execute the generated dat-file.
  • Examples o Beam Bridge
  • Code your own Grasshopper Node
