Updates for SOFiSTiK FEA 23 und SOFiCAD available

As of last Tuesday the latest versions and servicepacks for the SOFiSTiK FEA 23, SOFiCAD and SOFiSTiK Extensions for REVIT are available via SONAR. There is no servicepack available for SOFiPLUS this time. Detailed info about each program´s changes can be obtained from the LOG-files. SONAR offers a nice feature to let you read the difference of your local and the latest log-file on the server before you press the update-button ! Simply use the right-mouse click on one program in the program list and select "change-log".

Details about the SOFiCAD Servicepack can be obained directly from the SOFiSTiK User Forum >>

Attention: From July 1st a new SONAR/FTP password is active ! It can be obtained from the service-contract invoice, your local sales SOFiSTiK reseller or us, if you write us an email to info@sofistik.com !

Contact Elements (Moving Springs) for Rotational and Lateral Effects

With the current versions of ASE and CSM ("Construction Stage Manager") not only  the longitudinal and main effects of the contact springs are considered but also the lateral and rotational stiffness. This enhances the generation and analysis for incremental launching significantly due to the fact that now the support scheme, respectively the system stabilization can be generated more efficiently. The CADINP-example csm41_launching_principle.dat shows this functionality in detail. This and other examples can be found in you installation folder (or access via Teddy > File > Sample..) after the update.

Update: SOFiSTiK Extensions for REVIT

The current update of the SOFiSTiK Extensions for REVIT delivers major improvements regarding the export and meshing. As a new feature the user can now easily create an analytical view ("SOFiSTiK 3D View"). This new function makes the creation of a new structural view (incl. transparency, coloure-marked system lines/planes) a lot easier and more efficient.

Get the latest version of the Extensions simply by updating your installation with SONAR !

SSD/CSM - enhanced nonlinear short-/long-term analysis

With the latest version of SSD the task for construction stage analysis CSM is enhanced by an option to control a nonlinear calculation of R/C QUAD elements in serviceability state. The CSM task allows to set up a staged analysis of a system having several construction phases, pour-delay strips or temporary propping. The analysis can also include time dependent effects like creep and shrinkage. With the new feature nonlinear material behaviour of concrete can be considered during the staged analysis, allowing for a even more realistic deformation prediction.

New SOFiSTiK Infoportal

With the new SOFiSTiK Infoportal we offer a central online-ressource for all additional information about SOFiSTiK like examples, tutorials or other teachware. We will add new examples continuously. At the moment the search engine will give back German examples as well. We will fix this behaviour asap. The infoportal complements the existing ressources like the very comprehensive library of CADINP-examples which is part of the basic program installation. You can access this library via the text editor TEDDY > Pull-Down-Menu: File > Samples.

If you miss a specific example, just let us know by writing an email to info@sofistik.com !
