New Servicepacks available !
There are new versions and servicepacks for the SOFiSTiK FEA Version 23, Version 2010, SOFiPLUS(-X) 2010 and SOFiCAD 2010 18.1 available for update via SONAR. Detailed info about each program´s changes can be obtained from the LOG-files.
SONAR offers a nice feature to let you read the difference of your local and the latest log-file on the server before you press the update-button ! Simply use the right-mouse click on one program in the program list and select "change-log".
As always detailed info for the current servicepacks SOFiPLUS and SOFiCAD can be obtained from our user-board:
New Installation DVD available !
New installation DVDs are now available for SOFiCAD 2010 18.1 and SOFiCAD 17.2 and for FEA 2010 including SOFiPLUS 2010 17.3, 18.1 and SOFiPLUS-X 2010. If you do have a current version installed there is no need to use this new installation, any updates can be performed using the online update program SONAR.
In case you did not yet install the new 2010 versions, or you are interested in receiving a new installation medium, please contact 'auftrag@sofistik.de' or your local reseller.
Problems which could occur during the installation of SOFiPLUS-X using the previous DVD 04/2009 have been resolved. The SOFiSTiK 2010 versions have also been officially released for Windows 7.

IFC-Interface in Version 2010 now bi-directional
The IFC-Interface of version 2010 has now been enhanced with export functionality, exporting structural element information from a SOFiSTiK project to an IFC structural view file (i.e. from .cdb to .ifc 2x3). The IFC-Interface requires a separate license, please contact us ('info@sofistik.com') or you local reseller.
Spring effects in Animator and WinGRAF
In the previous versions any connecting spring element was only displayed in the direction of the connection, i.e. the direction of the spring effect (which can be defined explicitly) was not displayed graphically. The new servicepack versions of ANIMATOR and WinGRAF will display those elastic link elements now with their direction of action (spring symbol) and additionally with lines connecting the spring symbol with the connected nodes. The size of the elements can be scaled in ANIMATOR using the support size slider.
Language Pack for France updated (Version 2010)
Especially the translation of graphical results (WinGRAF/WING) has been improved in the new language pack France (V. 10.02). The language packs are available for download via SONAR, but please note that the language packs may not cover all output or dialog texts and cannot be officially quality assured by us.
