SOFiSTiK Bridge Wizard

The BridgeWizard is an integrated part of SOFiSTiK's new interactive workbench "SOFiSTiK Structural Desktop" (SSD). The wizard leads the user via interactive dialog-boxes through the various steps of the analysis & design of standard post-tensioned bridges incl. section/layout, tendon geometry, loading, construction stages, superpostioning, design checks. In the end the BridgeWizard will autmatically create a checking report. Of course the created model can be manipulated with SOFiPLUS or via CADINP.

Following bridge types are currently implemented (more to come soon):

• Post-Tensioned, curved, multi-span bridges acc. to DIN FB 102, EC 2 1991-2, EHE IAP 2003 and BS 5400
• Inclinded Strut Bridges (curved, post-tensioned, design acc. DIN FB 102, EC 2 1991-2, EHE IAP 2003 and BS 5400)
• Arch Bridges

SOFiPLUS 17.1 & AutoCAD 2008

For more complicated structures incl. abutements and pile foundations using SOFiPLUS based on AutoCAD 2008's powerful CAD-engine is the engineers choice. Models created by the BridgeWizard can be edited with SOFiPLUS in any way.

CADiNP: Parametric Text-Input

The text-based input of structures enables the engineer to a very flexible and scalable generation of the systems geometrie, tendon opimization, loading and report generation. Of course the generating a parametric model is more time consuming in the beginning, but this is easily compensated by the flexibiltiy within a desing process that requires many changes. Last but not least text files can be used as "templates" to create similiar bridges later on. Not to say that any model can be worked at in SOFiPLUS as well.

SOFiSTiK offers many bridge types as sample input-files ! Just ask !
