Hi all,

First of all I must say I'm very new with sofistik. Since a few days I use the trial version at my work to see if it's more helpfull and accurate.
I have a few problems from the beginning, I try to learn all by myself. In the screenshot there is a structure floor where I do wanna try with the face rebar to place easily and fast rebars and after edit if necessary to group them and annotate them.
As you can see at some places the rebars are interrupt because there are 3D void elements in the floor, but they do have a depth off 5cm only. My intention is to put the rebars below it. I did this with the offset function when choosing the main and transverse direction. But still the rebars are interrupt. Is there a way avoid this and do not let cuth these voids with the rebars?
I was thinking the function 'openings' could help me but when choosing this option I must select a reinforcement object but I'm not able to choose anything?

thx in advance

Hi andy78,
Thank you for your request. The command Face Rebar is intended for more complex geometry, not just planar slabs. Please use the command Structural Area Reinforcement for foundation slabs and structural floors. Then a reinforcement area system will be created which can be removed with the command Openings as desired.

Tip: Here you can find a Getting Started Tutorial

Does that solve your issue?
