Good Afternoon All,

I am after some urgent advice regarding the Reinforcement Software.

I am currently in the process of detailing a large retaining wall / slab and it has to be done in Phases. I have completed and sent out phase 1, i have modelled phase 2, when I come to tag the rebar, some of the bars are the same as phase 1 and gives it the same number, it looks like you can only assign the reinforcement to one dwg and when I come to schedule phase 2 it gives you the total No of bars for the whole model and not for each dwg/phase. ( i hope this makes sense)

As anyone else had this problem and managed to find a solution?

I have a deadline to hit this week, so any advice would be useful.

Thanks

David

Hello David,
Thank you for your request. In SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing 2016 there are two modes for tagging and calculation rebars: Per project or per sheet. You can define that in the reinforcement settings. Revit phases are not considered in both modes and there is no filter for phases yet.
But if you want to uses phases we recommend the following workflow using the mode Marks per sheet:

Marks
You can either click on the command Set marks and define marks for all rebars that are assigned to the chosen sheet. If you select them before using this command only these rebars get marks.
Create a view for every phase and select the rebars of your first phase. Then select them and set marks beginning with 1. Switch to the view which is showing the rebars of phase 2, select them and set marks beginning with e.g. 100. That way you get marks per phase.

Using Revit Schedules
You can simply set a phase and a phase filter for every single Revit Schedule. Use the command Create Images to get rebar shapes into your schedules.

Using RCD schedules and bending lists
It’s quite the same workflow as written above for setting marks. If you select rebars of your desired phase and then click on Create schedule only these rebars will be exported. Note that there will be files for each sheet in the project content folder. Don’t overwrite them.

I hope that solves your issue.
