Hello,

I have been working on a balanced cantilever bridge. I have all loads and construction stages defined. I ran the CSM and got from it 5000s (influences on the bridge from each construction stage).

Now i would like to make combinations (ULS and SLS combinations) using the "Define Combinations" tab.

My question is, is it possible to insert my 5000s (G, P and C) somehow if i select to make ultimate design combination. I want to have my traffic, wind, G, P, C all in one ultimate limit state combination.

So far i haven't been able to insert 5000s G P and C because when i select to make ultimate limit state combination i can only select actions B,C,P,G,E,F.... and the 5000s are not in those actions.

Do i have to make a teddy input in order for this to work or can this somehow be done in "Define Combinations".

Thank you for your time,
Have a nice day ^^

Hi there,

The best way is to do that in Teddy, - if you check shearing, torsion etc. - in maxima.

In case of stress check you should do that in AQB - it takes into consideration changing cross-section, and plastic redistribution of shrinkage.
