Hi

I was wondering if there is a way of setting a starting teperature for nodes in brick elements depending on their position in the global coordinate system using the prog. Hydra.

In another words - lets have a cube defined with nodes N1-N8. The cube will be made of a numeber of smaller bric elements depending on meshing at the edges-numbers of the generated nodes starting with 1000+.

My aim is to set a temperature value for each layer of the nodes starting from top of the cube to its bottom, like this:

It is possible to do it with BOUN H and defining the node numbers by hand, however, I was wondering if there is some other way. SURF might work, but it needs QUAD elements (I believe) and I would like to avoid using QUADS.

Thank you!
Lydia
