I created a 3D model in sofiplus. The foudation deck iz modeled with bedding. How can I calculate buoyancy. The problem is that springs (bedding) have a tensile resistance and absorb the force of buoyancy.

Are you performing a non linear analysis ?

No.
The model is created with SOFiPLUS 17,1 and the calculation module is ASE. I'm not sure if I can calculate a nonlinear bedding with that tool.

Unfortunately the cracking of springs is a non linear effect ...

As far as I know the bedding of the area elements is cracking at least in vertical direction.
So you have to create the non linear combinations you want to check for buoyancy (Task: "Load case combination manager") and then to calcualate them with ase (Task: "Calculation of non linear load cases").

If you want them to crack in horizontal directions you must work with single springs.
